As a retired Certified Financial Planner, I've spent years helping people build wealth, but nothing tested my resolve quite like owning single- and multi-family residential rental properties. Over the past 15 years plus, I've managed everything from cozy single-family homes to bustling multi-family rental properties, working with five different property managers along the way. Spoiler alert: It wasn't always smooth sailing.

The real learning came from hands-on experience and collaborating with others.
